Have you heard about this new vegetable called kalerosse? It looks like a small cabbage and has unique flavour. It tastes of brussels spouts and kale. As it is described on producer`s website:
"Kalerosse ™ is a brand new vegetable that combines sweetness and nutty flavours. It looks like a small cabbage with green wavy leaves and purple streaks. The inspiration for creating Kalerosse ™ was the desire to develop a vegetable similar to kale and brussels sprouts that would be versatile, easy to cook and attractive in appearance.
The natural crossing of kale with brussels sprouts seemed obvious to us, because both of these plants come from the species Brassica oleracea, which also includes cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli. Kalerosse ™ does not only taste good, it is also very healthy. At just 100g, Kalerosse ™ contains twice as much vitamin B6 (which helps to store energy from food) and twice as much vitamin C than regular brussels sprouts." Since the vegetable is so new and unique, it is very difficult to find any good recipies. The only thing I can assume, from checking few pages, that it combines good with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and olives. Also with oranges and apples. And propably cannot be cooked...
